Great photos! Thanks for following Madame Saslow.

  11. Thoughtful. Wonderful post.

  12. Very cool. Very creative.

  13. As long as they’ve been around, this is the first time I’ve ever seen a Euro (I’m American), so this isn’t really an every day (or any day) item for us, here at home. It all depends on where you live. I suspect even the toothbrush might be a foreign object to some people. This post does make you think about the things we all take for granted as being normal, everyday, products, though.

  14. I thoroughly love seeing thru new eyes details of articles we take for granted everyday ~thank you Rod, Sincerely Deborah

  15. Clever, interesting, insightful…thank you!!

  16. There is beauty in the mundane. Lovely shots.

  17. Interesting topics to collect … things we take for granted on a daily basis, for sure. 🙂

  18. very creative and interesting post!

  19. Excellent take on everyday objects! Love the toothbrush one since usually any photo you see of a toothbrush is on an advert and they are all pristine and perfect… yours is clearly used and has character, which in turn makes for a more interesting photograph.
    Cool!

    • That was my point from this picture! The project had to do with things that people use in their everyday life!so it had to be a used toothbrush!thanks again!!

  20. Very cool post. I so need to do something kind of like this. Thanks for sharing it 🙂

  21. Details are fabulous. Other bloggers have remarked on the mundane-made-beautiful. I take pictures of stone and wood and so on, for the same reason. Gorgeous patterns, make you look at everything again. Thank you.

  41. Thanks so much for visiting my site and leaving a footprint. This post was fun.

  42. Love the slice-of-life closeups. It’s not enough to stop and smell the roses, you have to actually “pause” and look at them in detail, too!

  43. Very interesting shots. I’ve been taking shots of stuff like weeds and rocks and old boards lately, and this gives me a new idea for perspective. I hadn’t seen a euro for several years either (at least 6 years), so that was an interesting shot. Thanks so much for stopping by, and for the “follow” on my blog!

  44. Most interesting use of focus!

  76. The euro? Every time I see one, I can only think of a trip to Venicia Italy and having to fork over a euro just to to use a restroom. I hope they don’t do this in Greece. It can be a painful experience. I don’t travel enough! Have fun!

  77. These are really nice…:)

  78. what a clever idea! talk about living mindfully!! Thanks for liking my rather silly post about eating my way through New Jersey etc….and for bringing me here. Will be exploring further for sure.

  81. Very original approach and well done. I’m now going to be looking at things around the house differently.

  82. it’s the little things that matter most. What was it William Carlos said: “so much depends upon. a red wheel barrow. glazed with rain water. beside the white chickens “

  83. Very cool photos. I too had never seen a euro! The last time I was in europe they were still using pounds and liras and francs. LOL! Just kidding! Thanks so much for following Opie’s Mom’s blog

  84. Great post! Isn’t it a shame that Facebook has become one of the necessities of “everyday life”? What a world….

  90. Great photos. Who would think such normal items would be so interesting?

  91. Cool photos of unusual subjects. I especially like the watch pic.

  92. glennweissel

love the idea of capturing things we use or see everyday! Great concept!

  93. Amazing. The things we take for granted in its close-up splendour. I love!

  97. Clever! I really liked this.

  98. thanks for liking my post on `Tori gatesss`…now I am embarrassed 🙂 my photos were a fry cry from what i see here

  99. AWESOME!! My sister’s toothbrush looks like this – even after she has used it for two days! Now would a NEW toothbrush make half as good a photo? I don’t think so. You have a wonderful eye. Thanks for popping by my blog and cheers!

  100. Nice series, sometimes the mundane gets missed and if we open our eyes and our minds there is inspiration all around. Very cool 🙂

  101. Nice thinking outside the box, beautiful shots. Thank you for stopping by my blog.

  102. Your amazing close ups put emphasis on the mundane….putting the things that drive us crazy in the perspective they belong. Someone wise once said, Don’t sweat the small stuff…it’s all small stuff. If only I could remember this when I am driving myself crazy. Great Photos!

  103. Fun to look at someone’s “everyday”. Thanks for posting these wonderful photos! What car gores with the gear shift? Looks like my old VW bug.

  104. Very kind of you to visit “My LIfe in Hard Times”, Aging Queen. Appreciate the “like” and hope to welcome you aboard again.

  109. Nice shots…do you use a dedicated macro lens or another technique? Thanks for visiting my blog!

  110. interesting close ups. did you shoot that way or crop later?

  111. I have often thought about taking photos of my everyday life but had not envisaged such detail. I enjoyed the focus and use of light in your photos.

  112. clever idea! Have fun Great shots!

Just this morning I was contemplating taking pictures of everyday things. Then you “liked” something on my site and I came to your blog. Wow! You have done beautifully just what I was thinking. I think I will leave photographing everyday things to you. :o)

  114. I love the fact you can sum up a day with no words! Cheers

  115. Nice pictures. The pictures seem to convey that ordinary things can actually be great if you look at them from a different perspective.

  120. Thanks for visiting my blog. I really appreciate it!

  121. this was cool enjoyed every shot thank u

  122. That was totally an art trip. I’m amazed at the progression, how the sequence of images formed the structure of a story. And I thought putting facebook in there was brilliant, as the representative of the most modern tool. And the ending, the consolidation of oneness, the circle, culminating in the 1 in “1 euro” and money is the ultimate tool?

  123. Hi, and thanks for the ‘Like’ on my latest blog post 🙂

  124. I’ll never look at the splayed bristles of my toothbrush in quite the same way again! Very nice pix.

  125. That toothbrush pic really drew me in! Nicely done.

  126. Great shots! The one of the toilet paper would make a nice ad. Thanks for stopping by my blog – it’s nice to meet u!

  127. Love it, love it, love it! The photos of the dripping faucet and toilet paper take my breath away. Nothing like looking at everyday objects with new eyes. Thanks so much!

  129. Great photos! Thanks for the like on my blog post Kidnapped..would love it if you had a photo that could be added to it.

  130. This is sharp, R. You have given us a set of images that could easily be titled: A Day in the Life…

I’m with orples, have never seen a euro. Looks about the size of a US quarter.

Good job. Many Blessings – Maxi

  131. Awesome, love your perspective ! Thanks for the like on my post 🙂 x

  132. Love your visual diary of mundane rituals….

  133. Cool photos! 😀

  151. Cecil Scaglione

your viewpoint makes life a biit bigger and more interesting

  152. I especially like the water tap. And the toothbrush, I suppose.

  153. The water tap was interesting – how long did you have to wait to get that one? The series goes to show that just looking at things from a different perspective can change the details. I noticed the manufacturing/daily usage markings on the fork but on a day to day basis I don’t see them.

  154. Nice photos. Thanks for stopping by my blog. Cheers, Rita

  155. Man, that really is everyday life; very cool! By the way, it’s time for a new toothbrush.

  156. Simplicity of everyday life is beautiful. And the toothbrush 😉
